Whether you work in construction or healthcare, you have likely been impacted by childcare issues, either personally or as a result of a co-worker. One in 5 Coloradans need childcare in order to work–an estimate that is likely conservatively low. Yet, in Northern Colorado, 4 out of 5 families do not have access to licensed childcare for their infant, and 3 out of 5 families with toddlers cannot find licensed care. This leaves many families scrambling to find quality care for their children and unable to participate fully in the workforce. https://lnkd.in/gVf4TvvH Continue reading Christina Taylor, the CEO of Early Childhood Council of Larimer County's BizWest Thought Leader message on the need and options for solving our childcare crisis. Early Childhood Council of Larimer County (ECCLC) is thrilled to be Larimer County’s Local Coordinating Organization (LCO) for Universal Preschool. As a way to support our community, we have created a resource called the Larimer County Universal Preschool Hub. We will continually update this page with the newest information on Universal Preschool. We are determined to ensure that Colorado Universal Preschool works our way in Larimer County. That means we will strive to make sure that everyone impacted by Universal Preschool, including families, early care and education providers, community partners, government, and local organizations, has a voice–and say–in how Universal Preschool plays out in Larimer County. https://lnkd.in/gFJnYzZw #earlychildhood #preschool #ColoradoUniversalPreschool #UniversalPreschool
